Our support staff will work alongside you, thus allowing you to focus on patient care and feeding your passions in medicine. What can we offer you? You will enjoy practicing in a facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that includes dental radiography, therapy laser and ultrasound. Interested in surgery? We also have a surgery laser that you can use or we'll teach you if this is new! Interested in dentistry? We have special training to hone your dental skills! If there's a piece of equipment we don't have that you need, we'll figure out a way to get it! Not to mention, we will happily assist with any student loan repayments or relocation assistance!

 

Who's the best candidate? We welcome veterinarians of all experience levels, including new grads. As a young doctor, you will receive intensive, hands-on mentorship for both medical and surgical cases.

 

About the area: Evansville is in southern Indiana and provides all of the amenities of a large city but with a small community feel.  We have refurbished downtown area that includes art galleries, shopping, nightlife, sporting events, and more. You can perfectly enjoy the great outdoors with the area's plentiful parks, running trails, canoeing waterways, or by just taking a walk in Wesselman Woods. If a weekend getaway is what you're looking for Louisville, Nashville, Indianapolis, and St. Louis are all a short drive away!

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
