Position Purpose

Our practice welcomes a Managing Veterinarian looking to join our awesome team! 

 

Our current DVM team is supported by dynamic and energetic technicians who we utilize for anything and everything. They truly do it all! Our practice has a designated surgical team, appointment team, and floating technicians to assure our doctors always have a smooth workflow. We pride ourselves in providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care for affordable pricing.

 

We welcome any experienced veterinarians looking to showcase their great skillsets. Their caseload would come from both current and new clients who visit from both urban and rural nearby communities. Our clients are loyal, compassionate, and are ready to help warmly welcome any new veterinarian to the practice! We emphasize adequate work-life balance, have no on-call or after hour responsibilities, and will ensure flexible scheduling for any new team member.

 

About the area: Pensacola, FL is known for its sugar white sand beaches and turquoise water. There is always an event occurring downtown on the weekends such as parades, markets, or festivals. There are endless outdoor opportunities such as swimming, watersports, and fishing. We are home to the Blue Angels who frequently put on tremendous airshows alongside a mix of other unique cultural experiences and the city’s affordability is unmatched compared to the other coastal cities. It is truly a great community that values a laid-back, beachside lifestyle!

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
