English Veterinary Care in Atoka, TN opened its doors in 2015. Located 30 miles north of Memphis, we offer a superior quality of care for the community's pets with a staff that truly loves what they do. In the decade since our opening, we have quickly become successful and well-established with pet owners. We are a fast-paced hospital and enjoy a diverse caseload, as we offer limited mixed animal services to the surrounding areas.

Position Purpose

We are looking for an Associate Veterinarian who is compassionate and isn't afraid to collaborate and bring new ideas to the table. Our team is like family, and our practice will serve as the perfect opportunity for any doctor starting your career or looking for the next step! 

 

We welcome doctors of all backgrounds and experience levels, and are happy to provide any tools needed to expand your skillsets and our services. Our current doctors have lots of experience and would love to assist in the mentorship of a new graduate. Their teaching abilities along with our outlined, in-depth mentorship program, will be sure to enable you to hit the ground running!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
