Since opening in 1953, our amazing doctors have been backed by a hard-working and confident support staff, which has allowed us to truly practice the best medicine. We're also equipped with state-of-the-art tools that allow our doctors to work through all kinds of cases; these include ultrasound, digital radiology, endoscope, in-house lab, and more.

Position Purpose

We are adding another veterinarian to our team!

 

We welcome DVMs of all experience levels to apply, especially those looking to grow professionally, display leadership, and build a strong rapport with clients. For any Ross graduates, you will enjoy working alongside many fellow alumni! For new grads, we offer a strong mentorship program and the commitment to support/foster your veterinary skills.

To make sure our DVMs all have an adequate work-life balance, we offer a flexible schedule and are closed on weekends. We also have part-time positions available.

About the area: Clinton Township is located 10 miles north of Detroit. It has sprawling parks, a large shopping district, and as one of the largest communities in Michigan, is host to many exciting events. It is part of Macomb County, known for its sandy beaches off of Lake St Clair, countless hike/bike trails, and lots of outdoor activities. Since we're just a short drive from downtown Detroit, residents also have access to the fun nightlife, sporting events, restaurants, and attractions of the big city.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
