Four Paws Animal Hospital is a full-service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pets in need of routine medicalsurgical, and dental care.

 

Because of the years of experience shared between the veterinarians practicing at Four Paws Animal Hospital, we care for dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, and birds. As one of the premier exotics and small animal hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, we have accumulated 18 years of loyal clients.

Position Purpose

We are a two-doctor practice looking to add a new team member who has a go-getter attitude and is ready to enjoy our incredibly fun practice.

 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced, creative, driven veterinarian who is looking to join our family and guide a talented and dedicated team to the next level! All candidates need to be able to display strong guidance and leadership as well as proficient surgical skills. 

 

We welcome DVMs of all interests to apply. If you want more than just small animal cases, our already built out exotic clientele would allow you to treat all types of cases.  To properly treat this diverse caseload, we are also well-equipped with ultrasound, digital radiology, digital dental radiology, endoscopy, and more.

About the area: Rowlett is a wonderful lake community right on Lake Ray Hubbard.  We have everything to offer from lake and boating activities to fine dining and shopping downtown.  We are also just 40 minutes from the Christmas capital of Texas in Grapevine!  Rowlett is a wonderful place for families as there are great school districts, museums, parks and more. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
