Position Purpose

Arlington Park Veterinary Hospital in Rolling Meadows, IL has been providing high quality medicine to cats, dogs, and the occasional rabbit or other small animals for multiple decades.

 

We are a three-doctor practice that provides medical, diagnostic and surgical care with modern tools such as digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, and more.

About the area: Rolling Meadows is a northwest suburb of Chicago located along the "Golden Corridor". This area is known for its history of economic profit with many Fortune 500 company headquarters, entertainment centers, medical facilities, hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, and more. It has many well managed parks, recreational opportunities, and community events. It is just a 30 minute drive to downtown Chicago, allowing residents to enjoy a suburban feel while still having access to one of the most exciting cities in the US.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $110,000.00 - USD $125,000.00 /Yr.
