Hardin County Veterinary Clinic is a small animal clinic nestled along the Tennessee River. Close to the popular tourist location of Pickwick Lake in beautiful southwestern Tennessee, we are pleased to provide a variety of services for your canine and feline family members in Hardin County and the surrounding areas.

Position Purpose

With our consistent 8-5 schedule (no weekends either!) and experienced team supporting you, you will be able to leave on time and enjoy your evenings to recharge.

 

Our clinic is a two-doctor small animal practice in Savannah, Tennessee, located on the border between Mississippi and Alabama. We are excited to grow our team with a veterinarian who is looking to practice high-quality medicine while establishing lasting bonds with our clients and their pets.

 

We enjoy a diverse caseload including involved work-ups as well as adapting to our clients’ goals. Our highly skilled veterinary support staff plays an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and customer service to our clients.

 

We are looking for a veterinarian with a positive attitude who is dedicated to personalized and compassionate patient care. We encourage veterinarians of all experience levels to apply as we would enthusiastically mentor a new graduate with our customized mentorship plan.

 

Hardin County Team

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
