Established in 1984 in Sherman, Texas, our team includes skilled veterinarians, friendly service, and first-class medicine in a welcoming facility. Our veterinarians are members of the Texas Academy of Veterinarians and one a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.

We are looking for our next associate to work alongside our expert pet care team in a highly respected and full-service small animal veterinary practice. We are currently going through a renovation so we will soon have a bigger and more beautiful facility! Our level of service and medicine is exemplary in every way - We maintain the highest quality of medicine for our clients and they are appreciative of our services. We are AAHA accredited, and treat all of our clients and their pets like family.

 

We have a modern facility that believes in treating the whole pet - with the help of a wide array of diagnostic tools: digital x-ray, ultrasound, laser, and alternative therapies.  Faster results mean faster treatment plans and immediate action on the road to better health! We are completely vested in our staff and our client’s pets, and give our best every day.

 

Need mentorship? We can do that too!! Learn from the best and learn to enjoy all aspects of your practice. Patients are seen from 7:30am to 5:30pm and doctors do not have weekend hours!

 

About the area: Just a short drive from McKinney and Plano in one direction, and an even shorter drive to Lake Texoma in our backyard! With affordable housing, good schools and recreational activities, this city has everything you need, and many things that you can only find in our little slice of paradise!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
