Cobblestone Veterinary Hospital is a beautiful, spacious clinic located in Nixa, just south of Springfield. Our philosophy has always been focused on delivering the best in veterinary medicine and surgery at a reasonable price while establishing long-term relationships with our clients. We have been serving the Nixa and surrounding communities since 1997 and continue to see many of our original clients from grand opening.

Position Purpose

We are currently a two-doctor practice, experiencing exponential growth and looking to add another doctor to our team!

We would gladly welcome a new graduate as we offer a remarkable mentorship program designed to equip any new graduate with ample surgical skills and strong diagnostic guidance. Our team culture is outstanding and we pride ourselves on the longevity of our support staff, many of which have been with Cobblestone for decades!

Essential Responsibilities

Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.

Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
