Practice

Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital provides wellness, diagnostics, boarding, surgery, and limited day time emergency services. Our facility includes 3 exam rooms, a separate dental and surgery suite, complete pharmacy and is equipped with Co2 surgical laser, digital radiographs, ultrasound imaging, advanced in-house lab equipment, laser therapy, and boarding facilities.

We are excited to welcome a new Associate Veterinarian to our team at Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital! As our practice continues to expand, we’re looking for a compassionate, collaborative veterinarian who’s ready to jump into a supportive, well-equipped environment.

Our doctors pride themselves on staying current with medical advancements and providing thorough, individualized treatment plans. Our practice offers comprehensive veterinary services including wellness care, diagnostics, boarding, surgery, and limited daytime emergency services.

You’ll be supported by a team of licensed technicians and highly trained assistants, all empowered to work at the top of their skill set—so you can focus on practicing medicine. Our caseload includes a variety of surgical opportunities, and we offer tools like a surgical laser and new digital ultrasound to help you provide top-tier care.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
