Practice

Conneaut Lake Veterinary Hospital provides wellness, diagnostics, boarding, surgery, and limited day time emergency services. Our facility includes 3 exam rooms, a separate dental and surgery suite, complete pharmacy and is equipped with Co2 surgical laser, digital radiographs, ultrasound imaging, advanced in-house lab equipment, laser therapy, and boarding facilities.

Position Purpose

We are excited to add another veterinarian to our team! We could use the help of a seasoned veterinarian as we continue to grow our practice.

 

Our current doctors pride themselves on staying up to date with current recommendations and always offering thorough treatment plans. Our hospital provides wellness, diagnostics, boarding, surgery, and limited day time emergency services.

 

We offer our veterinarians a flexible work/life balance and backing from an excellent support staff. We would be happy to support your unique clinical interests whether they be surgical or medical.  

 

Practice hours are M-F with no on-call duties and after-hours emergencies are referred to a local ER.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
