Practice

DeKalb Animal Clinic was initially founded in 1987 to serve the needs of pet parents in Smithville, TN, and the surrounding area. In 2005, our building on West Broad Street was purchased to serve the clinic’s growing clientele. Today, the clinic is a 4,000 sq ft facility and has four examination rooms, a two-table surgical suite, and several large treatment areas.

We are equipped with digital radiographs, ultrasound and high-speed drill, polisher and scaler unit. We have expanded our surgical capabilities to incorporating orthopedic surgery to our services. Training is provided for orthopedic, dental and ultrasound as needed.

Our veterinary team takes pride in giving our clients and their pets the best and most affordable care. We offer digital x-ray, ultrasound, echo, and on-site blood chemistry equipment.

We operate a fast-paced environment with the help of our wonderful support staff team. This would be an excellent opportunity for any New Grad who is looking for personalized mentorship or any Associate DVM with an interest in advanced diagnostics and surgery.

About the area: Smithville is located in Middle Tennessee, about an hour east of Nashville, nestled directly between Murfreesboro and Cookeville. We are located in a beautiful area with Center Hill Lake right outside of town. Here you can spend an entire day boating, fishing, and lounging while taking in stunning views. You can also head up north into Kentucky for cave exploration and distillery tours.
