Our veterinary team take a hands-on approach to veterinary medicine – we’re down to earth and practical but with all the technology and skill required for a state-of-the-art practice.

Position Purpose

We are growing! And with that, we are looking to expand our incredible DVM team.

​​​​​​​We would love for an additional part-time veterinarian to join are devoted, fun-loving, and passionate team. Each of our current DVMs are admired by our clientele and have interests/skillsets that would mesh with new doctors of all backgrounds. From orthopedic surgery to oncology or emergency medicine, our four doctors have seen/done a little bit of it all! They would be phenomenal mentors to new graduates and collaborative colleagues to any experienced doctors.

Our Team: Our doctors are supported by a very talented support team who we utilize to the fullest. To assists our doctors to the greatest extent, they have a multitude of responsibilities such as tech appointments, monitoring anesthesia, intubation, administering medication, imaging, in-house diagnostics, and more. Our team truly uplifts are doctors to provide their best medicine and ensures they are never bogged down with technical procedures (unless they truly enjoy doing so)!

Clients and Services: Each day is different at Harrison Animal Hospital, as we see dogs, cats, and some exotics. We also perform a wide variety of surgical procedures as simple as spay/neuter and as complex as fracture repairs, gastropexies, or c-sections. We get clientele from all walks of life as we are located near rural communities as well as larger metro areas.

About Harrison, OH: Harrison is a charming community located just outside of Cincinnati. The city hosts a wide variety of camps, summer concerts, holiday celebrations, and more to consistently bring our community together. The area attracts plenty of outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy hiking or fishing as well as avid sport fans (go Bengals)! The community has been steadily growing throughout the recent years and is a great spot to raise a family. Here you will get that tight-knit small town feel but easily take advantage of all the amenities of the nearby big city.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
