Position Purpose

Woodhaven Animal Health in Plover, Wisconsin, is excited to add another Veterinarian to our amazing team! We pride ourselves on educating our clients to be empowered pet owners and the friendly, fun environment we've created amongst our team members. In addition to our wonderful culture, our doctors are supported by an incredibly experienced support staff with multiple certified veterinary technicians. Our confident support team ensures that our DVMs can truly practice their best medicine and are never without an extra hand.

We welcome DVMs of all experience levels to join our one-of-a-kind team. We can provide new graduates with a unique, individualized, and impactful mentorship program to give them any additional confidence and support they need. For experienced DVMs, our well-organized team and well-established practice will give you the opportunity to show off your already perfected skillsets.

About the area: Located just outside Stevens Point in central Wisconsin, Plover has that hometown feel and encourages the “buy it local” mentality as it supports its farmers and a wide variety of local enterprises. Residents enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin River, the abundance of county parks, and the many activities they bring for all seasons. Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
