About Us
At Companion Care Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on being a pillar of trust and compassion in the Mechanicsville, MD community. Located in scenic Southern Maryland—just an hour outside of Washington, D.C.—our hospital offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful, rural lifestyle with the growth and diversity that come from nearby military communities and a steadily expanding town.

Our facility is a freestanding hospital with a spacious lobby, six exam rooms, a designated surgery suite, and a dedicated grooming area. We are a certified feline-friendly practice and take pride in our high standard of care. With digital full-body and dental radiography, in-house Idexx diagnostics, ultrasound, and both surgical and therapeutic lasers, we are well-equipped to support a full range of services, from preventive care to soft tissue surgery and urgent care.

The culture at Companion Care is what truly sets us apart. Our eight skilled, highly utilized technicians—many of whom are pursuing credentials—work collaboratively with our veterinarians to deliver efficient, patient-focused care. Weekly team meetings and regular team-building keep communication open and morale high. We are also deeply involved in the local community, creating lasting relationships with our clients and their pets.
