Goodlettsville Animal Hospital (GAH) has been serving Goodlettsville and the surrounding communities for many years. We're proud to be a well-established practice in a great community, and have recently updated our facility!

 

Our 4-doctor team utilizes high-end exam rooms, a full lab and in-house pharmacy, digital radiology, ultrasound, and more to provide top level care to our companion animal patients. We have been a household name in the area for 50 years and plan on continuing our legacy!

Position Purpose

A doctor who loves surgery and dentistry, in addition to wellness/sick cases will thrive in our practice! And when it comes to work-life balance, you can't go wrong with our schedule which allows for 3-4 days off every week!

 

We have a big, bright updated building that allows you to practice your best medicine. And our well-trained staff is ready to support you in rooms and surgery, with inhouse labs, ultrasound and updated diagnostic equipment.

About the area: Located just 12 miles from downtown Nashville, Goodlettsville has a little something for everyone including award winning parks and walking trails, antique shops and specialty boutiques, Historic Mansker's Station, and unique restaurants and eateries. From Goodlettsville, you're within a days drive of so much to explore!

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
