Essential Responsibilities

  • Essential Responsibilities

    • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injury.

    • Operate diagnostic equipment, collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results.

    • Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.

    • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed.

    • Provide compassionate guidance and care during end-of-life decisions.

    • Maintain accurate patient medical records.

    • Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, laws, and hospital policies.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Requirements / Qualifications

    • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.

    • Active or eligible Florida veterinary license.

    • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD license.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Professional, courteous, and team-oriented demeanor.

    • Ability to lift patients or equipment up to 25 lbs. independently (and over 25 lbs. with assistance).
