Avalon Family Vet is a full-service small animal clinic located in the Avalon Park area of Orlando. Our practice is led by experienced veterinarians and supported by a skilled team that values quality medicine, efficiency, and sustainable schedules.

We’re seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) with surgery experience to join our growing team. As our client base continues to expand, we’re planning for a larger future facility—making this a great opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to grow with a forward-moving practice, without on-call or overnight shifts.

The Practice

The Role

  • Full-time associate veterinarian position

  • Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance

  • Balanced caseload of wellness, sick visits, and soft tissue cases

  • Surgery optional based on experience and interest

Essential Responsibilities

As an associate veterinarian, you will:

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat companion animals
  • Interpret diagnostics and develop treatment plans
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners about care and prevention
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Provide compassionate end-of-life care
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Practice ethical, compliant veterinary medicine

Requirements/Qualifications

Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD from an AVMA-accredited program
  • Active Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA/BNDD eligibility
  • Vet will have strong communication skills
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently (more with assistance)

Pay Range

USD $115,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
