We are excited to welcome a new Managing Veterinarian to our team at Pennell Veterinary Clinic ! As our practice continues to expand, we’re looking for a compassionate, collaborative veterinarian who’s ready to lead a supportive, well-equipped environment.

 

We have a tremendous support staff who receive monthly training to ensure that their skills are current and sharp. Together we have formed a family of caring, growing, and successful professionals but are looking forward to having you take us to the next level! 

 

Day to day, we offer a wide array of services such as surgery, dentistry, cardiology, routine or acute exams, and more. To perform our services, we utilize equipment like digital radiology, full in-house laboratory, MLS laser, digitherm scanners, plus we're getting an ultrasound later this year!

 

About the Opportunity:

As our Managing DVM, you’ll play a vital role in both the clinical and operational success of the practice. This is the perfect opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine and leading by example.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing medical and non-medical leadership within the hospital
  • Managing and mentoring associate veterinarians
  • Ensuring compliance with all veterinary medical policies and regulations
  • Cultivating a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement
  • Driving medical excellence and advancing standards of care
  • Collaborating with hospital leadership on operational decisions
  • Monitoring financial performance and helping set strategic goals for continued growth

Essential Responsibilities

  • Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
  • Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
  • Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
  • Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
  • Maintain patients’ medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
  • Appropriate state licensure.
  • Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
  • Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.

Pay Range

USD $1,150,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.
