The Cat Clinic of Destin is a full-service, feline-only veterinary hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. We serve clients from the entire Emerald Coast region including Okaloosa and Walton County.

 

We've provided advanced diagnostic procedures with our digital radiology, ultrasound, and in-house state-of-the-art laboratory since April of 2000.

For more than 25 years, Cat Clinic of Destin has focused exclusively on cats, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care in an environment designed around the unique needs of feline patients.

As our next Managing Veterinarian, you'll remain actively involved in patient care while helping guide medical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians, and support a collaborative team culture. This is an opportunity to grow as a leader without stepping away from the medicine you love.

Essential Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality medical and surgical care for feline patients, including wellness, diagnostics, dentistry, treatment planning, and surgery
  • Lead by example, helping shape and maintain high standards of feline medicine and patient care
  • Mentor and support associate veterinarians through collaboration, coaching, and professional development
  • Partner with hospital leadership on medical decisions, practice goals, and continued growth
  • Build lasting client relationships through education, thoughtful treatment recommendations, and compassionate communication
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture where great medicine, teamwork, and exceptional patient care come first
  • Support consistent medical protocols and accurate medical records across the practice

Requirements/Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited program
  • Active Florida veterinary license, or ability to obtain
  • DEA licensure, or eligibility to obtain
  • Clinical experience with the confidence to practice independently
  • A genuine interest in feline medicine, leadership, mentorship, and developing others
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Collaborative, positive, and team-oriented approach to patient care and leadership
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with larger patients or equipment as needed

Pay Range

USD $115,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
